Tensing Joseph is an established Indian painter and Professor of sculpture at College of Fine Arts Kerala where he has taught sculpture since 1996. He has worked as Principal at Govt. College Of Fine Arts, Kearala and Raja ravivarma College of Fine Arts from 2012. He received masters degree in Sculpture from from Visva- Bharti Univrsity, Santiniketan, West Bengal and BFA in Sculpture from College of Fine Arts, Kerala, India. During this period he exhibited widely in India and abroad and has been part of many art camps and symposia. He is regarded as one of the major personalities of art, both in his home state of kerala but also in India.
He is also known internationally through his outstanding works exhibited in different countries and continents including II Moscow International QUI VIVE? Biennale for young art, Moscow Museum of Modern Art Organized by Govt. of India Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Russian Federation Department of Culture, Moscow, 2010; Confluence-2012, Contemporary art from Europe and Asia, Vam Art Gallery, New Jersey, 2012; Delhi Art Fair in New Delhi, 2012; Cross Overs & Overlaps, Apparao Art Galleries, Triveni Kala Sangamam, New Delhi 2008. In 1994 he won National award from Lalit Kala Akadami, New Delhi.
